Asphalt Paving in Las Vegas & Henderson, NV

When pavement is past saving, or you're starting from dirt, we build it right from the ground up: graded for drainage, laid on a compacted aggregate base, and rolled tight with hot mix asphalt.

Most early pavement failures start below the surface

When a driveway or parking lot fails years ahead of schedule, the problem is almost never the top layer. It's what happened before the asphalt went down. Poor grading sends water toward the pavement instead of away from it. A thin or loosely compacted base can't carry the weight of vehicles. Asphalt that isn't compacted properly stays porous and lets water in from day one.

In Las Vegas, those shortcuts show up fast. Monsoon rain finds the low spots. Heavy trucks rut soft areas in the summer heat. Thermal cycling opens cracks wherever the base moves. The result is a surface that looks great for a year and then starts breaking apart.

We pave to avoid all of that, because a properly installed and maintained asphalt surface lasts 15 to 20 years.

How we build an asphalt driveway or parking lot

  • Planning and grading so water drains off and away from the pavement
  • Removal of failed asphalt and unsuitable material where needed
  • Base preparation with compacted aggregate sized for your traffic
  • Hot mix asphalt placed at the right temperature and thickness
  • Heavy-roller compaction for a dense, durable surface that won't rut
  • Clean edges and smooth transitions at garages, gutters, and sidewalks
  • Finishing touches like line striping and edging on commercial lots
  • A maintenance plan so the new pavement reaches its full lifespan

The difference

Built for Las Vegas traffic and Las Vegas heat

Residential driveways, HOA streets, retail lots, casino and resort parking, and industrial truck courts all carry different loads. We plan the base and asphalt for the traffic that will actually use it, so a logistics yard in North Las Vegas doesn't get the same section as a home driveway in Summerlin.

New asphalt is ready for foot traffic the same day. Give it 48 to 72 hours before driving on it, longer for heavy trucks, so it can firm up. Then plan the first sealcoat once the surface has had time to cure, and keep resealing every 2 to 3 years.

How it works

Our asphalt paving process

  1. Plan and grade

We walk the site, check drainage, and set grades so water leaves the pavement instead of soaking into it.

  2. Build the base

Excavate as needed and install compacted aggregate base that can carry your traffic.

  3. Lay hot mix

Place hot mix asphalt at the right thickness and temperature for a tight bond.

  4. Compact and finish

Roll it dense with heavy rollers, clean up edges, and stripe commercial lots.

When you can use new asphalt

Walk on it the same day. Wait 48 to 72 hours before driving on it, and avoid sharp turns, parked trailers, and kickstands for the first couple of weeks while the asphalt is still soft in the heat.

Brand-new asphalt needs time to cure before it gets its first sealcoat. We'll give you a timeline for your project, then remind you when the first coat makes sense. Read more in our guide on when to sealcoat new asphalt.

FAQ

Asphalt Paving questions, answered

How long does a new asphalt driveway last in Las Vegas?

Properly installed and maintained asphalt lasts 15 to 20 years. Maintenance matters here: sealcoating every 2 to 3 years and sealing cracks early is what gets you to the long end of that range.

How soon can I drive on new asphalt?

Foot traffic is fine the same day. Wait 48 to 72 hours before driving on it, and longer before heavy vehicles.

Do I need to replace my asphalt or can it be resurfaced?

It depends on the base. If the base is solid and the damage is on the surface, resurfacing or an overlay can work. If the base has failed, new asphalt over it will fail too. We check before we quote.

Do you pave commercial and HOA parking lots?

Yes. We pave and repave parking lots for HOAs, property managers, retail centers, casinos, resorts, and industrial properties, and we finish them with striping.

Why does grading matter so much?

Water is the fastest way to destroy asphalt. Good grading sends monsoon runoff off the pavement instead of letting it pond and soak into the base.
